Valar lots are tested by Novagen Analytical Labs, an independent laboratory in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Each certificate carries a verification key. Enter that key on Novagen's own site and their record answers. The page belongs to them, which is the entire point of it.

What the laboratory actually measures

Two methods, run on the lot itself rather than on a representative sample.

Purity by HPLC High performance liquid chromatography separates the sample and quantifies what is in it. This is the number on the certificate, and it is what the ≥98.0% specification is measured against.

Identity by mass spectrometry Mass spectrometry confirms the molecular weight of the material, which is how identity is established rather than assumed.

Issued by an outside laboratory Novagen is not us. The certificate is issued on their letterhead and published on their register, so the record cannot be edited from this side.

Questions

Does every lot you sell have a certificate here? Not yet. The register holds the lots that have been tested and published so far, and the count is shown at the top of this page. If the lot you received is not listed, contact us with the batch code from your vial and we will point you at its record.

Why is the table listed by batch instead of by product? Because the batch code is what is printed on the label you are holding. It is the one identifier that ties a specific vial to a specific test.

How do I know the certificate has not been altered? Because there is no copy of it here to alter. We do not host the certificates. Every row above leaves for Novagen's own site and the record you read is the one on their server, under their key.

What does the purity figure mean? It is the proportion of the sample identified as the target material by HPLC, for that lot, on the date shown. It is a measurement of the material tested. It is not a statement about what that material does.
